Gove puts up a team of 48! Cap Presentation on Friday 8th September 6:30 pm

Thursday 07 September 2017

Hi Clubbers,

We have a total of 48 Gove Competitors competing in the upcoming NT Titles here in Gove, which is fantastic news.

Mike Rogers our Director of Competition, has been working tirelessly getting everything together to provide us with a fantastic carnival and is not getting much sleep at the moment, so when you see him, shake his hand, or buy him a coffee!

Could all competitors please if possible attend the surf club this Friday Night (tomorrow) at 6:15pm to receive your competition caps from Lynne Walker, and photo's.

(If you competed last year in Darwin, could you please bring your caps with you).

Sorry for such late notice, and if you cant attend, we will sort you out before the titles.

Also Lauren will be down at the Surf  Club Friday Night from 6:30 - 7:30pm so everyone who ordered title shirts can collect and pay.  Lauren will also be there on Sunday if you cant make it tomorrow night.  The shirts are $50. Eftpos will be available.

I know a number of the nippers haven't competed before and are a little nervous, but trust me, it is really fun, they will be well looked after and it is such a wonderful group of people and the team spirit we display is really worth being a part of.

ts not all about winning!  Mike will talk to everyone on Sunday, so if anyone has any concerns, he will be there to address any queries.

This Sunday at Nippers, it is our last chance to practise, so we are hoping the beach will be open and we can run through all the events everyone is competing in, so it will be a busy day.  Can we please make sure we are all on time.

If anyone can help out after Nippers to get the shed sorted that would be fantastic.

During the carnival, Mike has arranged food stalls, coffee stalls etc so everyone has an opportunity to purchase food/drinks etc.  We have live bands performing, so its gonna be a great weekend.  Mike will talk more about the event on Sunday.

We are really hoping everyone stays around as a team, as that's what we are about, cheering on all of our competitors during the weekend even if your event is over.

The carnival basically starts at Middle Beach with Sprints on Saturday (16th) at 8:00am sharp and finishes up on Sunday at 3pm with Presentations following.

 Regards

 GPSLSC Committee
